VR glasses deal with your perspective in order to make you feel as if you were somewhere else. Glasses like HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and Playstation VR work with this logic.
Virtual Reality brings you elsewhere, both in games and applications. It does not matter where you are, in games you can be in the cockpit of a star warrior. You can visit far-off lands in applications as if you were there.
What is Augmented Reality?
Microsoft HoloLens and “smart glasses” at various corporate levels enable you to see everything around you as if you are wearing sunglasses. While this technology projects images onto everything you look at, you can replace any object you wish.
While VR covers and changes your entire line of sight, AR applications only appear on the screens of your smart phones or tablets.
